Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS Discussion

There's some people on Smashboards thinking we could get Little Mac, Pac-Man or Miis this week or next week because: This week is Punch Out's anniversery in Japan, a Pac-Man game based on the TV show comes out next week, and Wii Party U does as well (Heck Wii Party U is out in America tomorrow).

am i the only one who doesn't think pac-man is very likely to be playable?
i mean yes namco is co-developing, but i seem to recall reading an article where sakurai said that just because they are co-developing it doesn't mean he's giving a namco rep priority

also i'd be surprised if we did get a character this week since we didn't get anything from pokemon

Some people may think the smile of this Namco employee who was interviewed about Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures means he may know a thing about this. Plus his rather vague statement about "You never know". There was something similar for Sonic before he was revealed to return where the Sega president simply said "That's up to Nintendo to decide" or just days before Sonic was revealed. Another Sega rep said "We don't know!" which obviously was a white lie to tease fans.

I'm honestly neutral toward Pac-Man. While I understand his status as a video game icon and all that, he's just always been kinda... "there" to me.

I'd much prefer Little Mac. Love me some Punch-Out.

Little Mac would be a great choice. I don't really want Mii's, but I think they'll get in anyway, so I'll live with them. Pac-Man really doesn't interest me at all.

i'm not denying that, i just think that there simply won't be any other third parties apart from ones we already know (mega man, sonic, possibly snake)
