using that logic every single IP except Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing and Wii Fit should be cut because they're the only ones who have recent games.

Well, of course. All new characters have both haters and people who honestly enjoy them. And I'm certain that Nintendo will/has already picked poor choices for newcomers (Wii Fit Trainer, anyone).

But this is the only way to breathe life into the franchise! Have a fresh start! Create something new and great!

I don't want to live in the same kind of game forever though. Sure, old is great, but if you just stick to the same old things forever it gets boring. And you're right - Nintendo's new stuff has been lame. But that doesn't mean it's always going to be.

I personally feel like it's been too long since Nintendo made something innovative and clever. I want a cool new idea.

probably wont happen as the smash formula is literally perfect and far different from any other fighter, well except for the ones that tried to make a similar game, anyway.

I support ice climbers among various other characters in the roster, pretty sure im not the only too.

Maybe im considering what other fans see in these characters, but yeah.

Then again when it comes to obscure ive certainly seen my fair share of good among both characters and games.
