Was Marth really a surprise?

Well besides the fact I think that this is the first reveal that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. When we thought Peach was revealed for no reason at all, it was actually Super Mario Bros. anniversary while every other character revealed outside of E3 was a tie-in to a certain game. As far as I know, Fire Emblem's next anniversary isn't until next year. And we all know Fire Emblem: Awakening's been out a long while. So yeah, Marth was announced out of the blue.

The question is, will we get Zelda this month as well? That's the character most expect would be revealed this month.

They've been using Japanese release dates. A Link Between Worlds comes out in December in Japan.
 
How come it is released in North America before Japan?
 
I never really used Marth, but I'm not surprised he's back

I don't want to. And I never enter the website, but there is something insanely huge out there called the INTERNET and turns out that there's literally no piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant it is, that can escape it.
 
I like that he's been updated to look like his Shadow Dragon DS remake version... and also that he looks less feminine than in Brawl. Those screenshots are funny, too. Also, I have to wonder what was the thought process behind revealing him now...

There should be some ways to avoid this. Avoid this thread for sure if you don't want to know some character reveals
 
I don't have a problem with characters being revealed; I'd be happy if we got all the BASIC characters at once. I just don't want to know the hidden characters.

Still, it should no longer be a secret that Marth is unlockable.

Have you not seen her battling?

She is no clone of Peach. She actually has one of the most unique movesets, as you control both Rosie and Luma.

It's going to be interesting to see how that'll work.
 
Hey, I'm taking the same exams you are, and I found time.

She is most certainly not a clone. More like a weird Ice climbers and Olimar hybrid.
