United States Presidential Election, 2012

>socialism worked so well for the soviets

TBH, if you factor in solely what we know based off reason alone, a system like that described in Plato's Republic would probably be best. Of course, it'd chafe just about everyone that hadn't studied Socratic Philosophy, but it has more logic to support it than most modern forms of government.

Wonderful...and here I thought I'd never hear of Cain again. -_-

Well, actually, he did say that he was going to hold out on endorsing someone, so I'd been sort of expecting him to come out soon.

Does this mean that Gingrich could be boosted, or will the endorsement be worthless, like Nikki Haley's endorsement of Romney here in SC.

Though to be fair everyone hates Haley, so...

Looking at the current results in Florida.

Romney in first, Paul in fourth.

Eh, Paul said that he wasn't going to try there so I'm not surprised.

And Romney has been leading for a while, so I'm not surprised about that.

My question is how far back is Gingrich.

Gingrich is second, Santorum's third (Google is your friend).

Romney just doesn't seem like an actual Republican to me, he's far too moderate.
He's not a moderate he's an extreme liberal. He will be more liberal than Obama. I hate Rockefeller Republicans!

No, he's not more liberal than Obama. That's absurdity. Also, Republican attacking of each other just makes it that much harder for whomever should actually win the nomination.

That makes...no sense.

(I did actually have a theory that there's a group of Democrats going around taking advantage of relaxed voting restrictions and voting in the Republican primaries.

It's slightly more likely than 9/11 being a controlled demolition.)

More than slightly, if you consider that Republicans have voted in Democratic primaries (Ron Paul got second in NH, I think...Obama only got 70 something percent of the vote).

tru dat

Of course, there's also the example with Huntsman who skipped Iowa and performed poorly in New Hampshire.

Then again, Huntsman had less votes than Stephen Colbert, so...

Hey wait that's a good idea

why don't you go to the Republican primary in your home state and vote for Romney

Despite the fact that I get all my info from CNN, a slightly liberal-biased news network, I still support Gingrich. Even though half of their articles are against him.

It's cause they did the exact same thing to Herman Cain a few months back when he challenged Romney.

Well, Herman Cain was undeniably an idiot...

You know, you should check out CNN sometimes, Scarecrow.

I mean, I'm looking at it here and some of the article titles are:

  • Ego keeps Gingrich going
  • Romney back in the driver's seat

Stuff like that.

I know very little about your bizarro politics (in Australia, majority vote doesn't mean anything so long as you've got the right connections and enough independent hipster parties to back you up in the Senate), but from what Snack showed me of Herman Cain's campaign, he was hilarious.
