This mystified me. Why is it just this orb description that refers to the affected player as a female instead of a generic pronoun (or even a "he")? And it's clearly deliberate, because the pronoun is used twice in this in-game description AND in the instruction booklet.

Considering they can both jump over three times their body height...or maybe two times, idk. They can clear the crib wall easily regardless. Unless Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong where they were either beaten up (DKC1) or locked in a cage (DKC2), this seems like a step down for the Kremlings.
