I'm guessing it's not battlefield you're talking about.GalacticPetey said:They're actually much bigger. With vectoring, some players can live to like 200%.Ninelevendo said:I honestly don't see a problem with the blast lines. Compared to Brawl, they're pretty much the same.
If you're talking about 300% battles, not that I've seen. However there IS a customization screen that I can't read due to being entirely in Japanese. Maybe that's where it is, I dunno.Baby Luigi said:Solution: increase the damage ratio
Please tell me there's an adjustable damage ratio in Smash for 3DS...

Wouldn't increasing the damage ratio change basically your entire moveset and how you can approach things? But again, moves in Giant 2.0 ratio Melee work in the same way as 1.0 normal battle, just much stronger.Baby Luigi said:Solution: increase the damage ratio

Brawl's 2.0 ratio is kind of way_out_there compared to giant Melee's 2.0 ratio. But I guess you can adjust it to be more like 1.3-1.4 but that takes too much effort. :PBaby Luigi said:Dr. Mario said:Wouldn't increasing the damage ratio change basically your entire moveset and how you can approach things? That's why I get real enjoyment only out of 2.0 damage ratio
Things become easier to kill, therefore, battles are far faster paced

Speaking of video files, are the CGI trailers in the 3DS version or only the Wii U version?Baby Luigi said:Lumastar said:Didn't someone here say that songs take up more memory than characters?
It depends on the compression of the files but generally, they typically do take up more space than characters, if you're comparing an average minute song (like say, 2:00) to a model in Super Smash Bros. 4, which shouldn't have too complex. For example, I've been running up against my 2GB limit for my SD card in Super Smash Bros. and the most likely reason is the songs I've put in there (granted, they can last as long as 20:00, they eat up a crapton of space).
However, it's nothing compared to video files, which eat up, by far, the most memory estate in the game.
With that I guess that they could have added an extra song to a few stages at least. Still, the soundtrack is excellent quality-wise.Baby Luigi said:I don't know if there are pre-rendered scenes in either versions, I'm not knowledgeable enough about them. It could be entirely possible that the Wii U version have the newcomer trailers, I wouldn't be surprised about that.
Memory is never really an issue with 3DS games. Even if they added one more track to each stage in the 3DS version, it wouldn't really impact the size of the game at all.
Most likely, it will be in at least the Wii U.Lumastar said:Sakurai stated that pre-rendered cutscenes would be available in-game, but he never stated if it would be in both versions or not.

he was like that since Brawl.Northern Verve said:Baby Luigi said:Yeah, there's obvious Kid Icarus bias

It's strange because Sakurai use to usually be really modest with series he made and/or had a hand making. That was one of the reasons Dedede or Meta Knight weren't in either SSB64 or Melee. And even in Brawl, it took fan demand to get those two in. But then he kinda pulls a 180 for Kid Icarus in Smash 4.
Uuuuhhhh I don't think that last one is neccesary to be honest.I AM RED YOSHI! said:- identical character rosters in both versions
- no ice climbers, no mewtwo (as well as brawl characters that were cut)
- no daisy alt, no ms pacman alt, etc.(thats why i hate recolours)
- less mega man series trophies
- no DK series newcomer, no yoshi series newcomer
I wish Sakurai made this game in the future: Super Smash Sisters / Super Bash Sisters.
