Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition announced for 3DS

I know that. It's my damn opinion. I can want plot for RPGs if I want to. So far this game hasn't impressed me. RPG gameplay isn't all that fun to me without a story to back it up. Platformers are fine.

And I find that really funny as the rpgs you like have extremely simplistic bare bones storylines.

I'm not saying it isn't.

I'm just not interested by it and I find that sad because even Sticker Star can be interesting at points as much as I hate to say it.

looks way better than Sticker Star but I think i'll still pass on this one

That's because you have a very warped idea of what rpgs are like.

For once I disagree with that. At least SS had a slight twist to the usual story.

Thank you for proving my point.

So there are 80 baddies to collect, and several other leaders and sub leaders. Apparently there will be some surprises on who they put in.

I can't say. Still that's quite a bit to play with.

I hate how this seems to be advertised as a new Mario RPG because

A) it has less story than Sticker Star and,

B) that would make 3 RPGs on the 3DS and none on the Wii U. There's something wrong with that.
You hate how new Mario RPGs are being advertised as new Mario RPGs?

No, I don't like how they seem to have less and less story with every one (exception: Dream Team). If I wanted to save the princess from Bowser, I'd play Super Mario 64 or Galaxy.

I don't need that rehashed in every game, especially the RPGs which are known for deviating from that tired old formula.

Unless they show some originality with the story and characters I think I'll pass on this. I gave Sticker Star the benefit of the doubt for being a Paper Mario game, but this doesn't have that luxury. The regular P&D seems to have a decent story, so why can't the Mario one?

You're forgetting the fact that it's Puzzle Dragons Z. That will have a story with it's own characters and such. Mario is just there as an added bonus to the game

He doesn't like anime anything.

So, really, just because it resembles NSMB in terms of story and characters in the slightest turns you off? I think you're missing the point of playing Mario games.

Oh please, the other rpgs are as formulaic as any other part of the Mario series, their stories aren't even all that good either. The only reason you give a crap is because you live under a metaphorical rock when it comes to video games.

it's Mario irdgaf about storyline. if I want a story i'll go play some other franchise.

My priorities for story when forming opinions on a game varies based on the game. Mario has never had high story priorities for me.

Which isn't surprising as plot has largely never been important to the franchise overall.
