I think you mean Sticker Star, because SPM has the best plot in any Mario game.

Why are people against lighthearted series having a few serious, large-scale and dark games? It's not like you have to play it.

I for one think the "story" that the main series has (at least since Galaxy) is too light and makes me not take any of the characters seriously. In SPM and other RPGs like it I actually feel emotions while playing, like I can relate to the events going on. I want more games like that.

Even if that were true (which it isn't) that's not saying a whole lot.

Because it's stupid. Mario is the type of series that parodies cliches like that, If I wanted something dark or serious I sure as hell wouldn't play a game from this series. And it's not like you have to sit here giving the same tired complaints about how a series doesn't do something it's largely well known for not doing.

It's almost as if you aren't supposed to.

Then go and play series that are actually about that shit. I don't know how many times I have to tell you this but if your interested in dark emotional stories

YOU ARE PLAYING THE WRONG FRANCHISE

Or Mother 3, Metal Gear solid, plenty of games.

My advice is get a PlayStation emulator and get Final Fantasy VII.

I'd say get an actual PlayStation, but it would be kinda dumb to buy a console for only one game.

If I ever get a Playstation it'll be for SpongeBob SquarePants: Supersponge. I tried a Final Fantasy game on the DS and I could hardly play it for two minutes before getting bored out of my mind. Hell nowadays even the Spongebob games do that to me after a while. Mario's about the only thing that doesn't bore me easily, and I've been impressed by stories in that series before, so why cant I be impressed now?

And yes I wish I had more varied tastes but I just can't seem to make myself want to play other games.

The only reason you are impressed by them is because you've seen so few. People aren't exaggerating when they tell you the stories really are nothing special at all.

Oh I believe there are far deeper stories out there. I just haven't seen them, and deepness isn't the only thing I want. I also want characters I'm familiar with along with new ones that fit the art style (and yes I have no problem with SPMs slightly different art style)

I wasn't just talking about ''deep'' I mean in general. Other than say the humour there is literally nothing special about their stories or characters.

What you want is not what this franchise is about.

Nope I mean exactly that.

You can be familiar with characters only if you want to know them in the first place....

Indeed. It's really not that difficult to get into new things.

GalacticPetey should be happy to see this.

I wonder what other bosses will appear?

You could've pulled that card if Bowser wasn't seen yet.

You're still clinging on your belief that this isn't an RPG?

You're just in denial at this point.

My god, even the blatantly wrong things people believe in can't be changed.

you guys are very mature
