Cutie Mark Chronicles and Canterlot Wedding are definitely among my favorite episodes. And Part 1 was just amazing as Part 2.

Reasons: Filly Twilight, One of the most dramatic episodes, Filly Twilight, A very surprising cliffhanger, Filly Twilight, Shining and Twi's relation was pretty sweet, and did I mention Filly Twilight?

Though I think it's a little unfair comparing a first part to a second part because they're supposed to be tied together. You don't get the full picture just talking about one part.
 
I got to either rarity's or Fluttershy's cutie mark and said next episode, and I got to the part where Twilight was complaining about the Princess to her friends and said screw this. (I didn't really like the last few episodes of the 2nd season)

You should really watch episodes the whole way through before you complain about them. Least that's what I think.

Also, like the others said, the second part of A Canterlot Wedding is MUCH better then the first part.
 
I honestly wasn't a gigantic fan of Cutie Mark Chronicles either. I liked it of course - there's not really an episode I don't like - but it's probably one of my least favorites of the first season.

Kinda funny how when you do get into the show (somewhat) Shoey you end up not liking some of my favorites xP

Cutie Mark Chronicles was my favorite out of all of Season 1. And Return of Harmony, Canterlot Wedding, and Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 were all in my Top 10 of Season 2 (Which is in no particular order: Return of Harmony, Lesson Zero, Sisterhooves Social, Sweet and Elite, Secret of my Excess, The Last Roundup, Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, Read It and Weep, Hurricane Fluttershy, and Canterlot Wedding)

I gotta say that Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 was my least favorite episode (also the Simpsons did a way better parody of the Music Man)

Gotta say Smasher it's becoming a lot harder for me to agree with you on some things on this show. You have Twilight as your least favorite of the Main 6, You just said Chronicles was one of your least favorites from Season 1, You thought Part 1 of Canterlot Wedding was meh.

And all that backstory is why I loved it (Especially Twilight's part. But again, special fondness/bias for Filly Twi and everything)

Though remember the episode you said you skipped with Rainbow acting as a hero? That was Mysterious Mare-Do-Well And that's actually the least liked episode of the entire series.
 
Yeah Mysterious Mare-Do Well is definitely one of the show's worst episodes.

It's kinda ironic that the SSCS6000 was as flawed as the MMDW, but the latter gets all the hate.

Good thing i skipped it then (I also skipped some episodes that I had already seen like the one with Gilda and the one with the great and powerful Trixie)
Also on your list I like Hurricane Fluttershy (mostly because they didn't break the record which made me happy because in most cartoons they would have), Read it and Weep, Sisterhooves social, the last round up was ok, I don't remember Sweet and Elite (I would if it was described), or Secret of my exes (don't recall the name). And by far my favorite episode has been the one with the Chicken Snake.

Sweet and Elite was the one with Rarity in Canterlot where she had to switch between attending Twilight's party and the more posh rich-folk like Fancy Pants. And the one with the Chicken Snake is Stare Master. Which isn't exactly one of the most liked episodes but it's still fairly well-known for showing Fluttershy's "Stare" and being the origin of the Scootaloo is a Chicken joke. (Though it's Toad85's least favorite episode.)

I think we agree on one thing though. Fluttershy is the closest to the 2nd best pony. Only losing out to our respective favorites.

Secret of my Excess was the one with Spike becoming greedy and growing enormous.
