If you could choose what kind of Bender you'd be. What element would you choose?

Toph hasn't appeared in the trailer while Zujo was heavily featured. It could be like Iroh last season where it's supposed to be a big surprise, but we may have to wait until next season. No way they just mention her like that and not show her.

Then again, Zuko's mom. I know it was explained in the comics but I still haven't read those.

They're worth reading. Still would've been better if they'd gotten around to it in the actual show, but it's better than nothing.

^What she said. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're canon, and you're missing out.

Yeah, I thought so (and although there's only one part of The Rift out right now, I think that's pretty good so far, too).

So I read The Search while I was at a Books-a-Million. I liked it more than The Promise. It was enjoyable.

Damn Azula, you scary.

So Korra got some metalbending practice, we got flashback dialogue from Toph as well as an explanation of how Lin got her scar, and Bumi overcame constant belittling to become a passable airbender.

The Bitch Queen ate Bosco. Bitch needs to go down now. Screw Zaheer and his gang. These are clearly the main threats. That guy with the baby bison pelt can also go to hell. Also, Varrick is totally Tony Stark.

I think I liked the first episode more. It was really interesting to see what Lin backstory was and how she got those scars. Seeing Toph was also fun.

The second episode was still fine, but it felt kind of predictable. Nice to see some air bending slice though! Hope to see Jinora with some tattoos soon.

One thing I hope they explain is how the hell Zaheer knew Korra was at the Metal City. This isn't DBZ where you can just sense someone's Ki. He may have some spiritual connection that allows hi to do this, because this isn't airbending. Pretty sure the Avatar is the only one who has done something similar. Unless of course, Zaheer has that same ability as Jinora.

Also, the know-it-all's name was Otaku. I find this hilarious for some reason.

i don't know why but i just find tenzin and his whole sideplot boring

I've been seeing several theories about Zaheer. Everything ranging from him being an old air acolyte, to being Pema's old boyfriend, to being the illegitimate son of Aang.

My belief is that he was involved in Aang's death in someway.

I really doubt there's any relationship to Pema.

Anyway, I thought Lin's overnight transformation at the end of the first episode to be jarringly OOC. I was like, "who are you and what have yo done with the Chief of Police?" But the family history was interesting (her getting the scar from her sister was underwhelming and cliche imho, tho) and the fight was pretty cool; I could have done without the Bo Lin subplot if it meant Lin coming around at the end wasn't so heavy-handed, but other than that, they did a pretty good job at cramming so much material into a single episode.

I'm also far less interested in the Tenzin half of things, especially after the cliffhanger about Zaheer knowing where Korra is, but it had some entertaining parts (I lol'd at the Otaku joke) and that dude wearing the baby bison pelt made my skin crawl, so as far as breather episodes go, it wasn't too bad.

Episode 6

I really liked episode 6. We almost never hear anything about Lin, and the last time she had character development was back in Season 1. This subplot was quite interesting. It just shows, just because you've saved the world, doesn't mean you're necessarily a good parent. It's also interesting that Bolin is doing more this season, although it's at the expense of Mako's screentime. I'm also surprised no one's tried to teach Korra metalbending until now.

You better not be canceling or giving up on it, Nick. You're the ones that wanted four books.

on the plus side, this means i won't have to feel bad about skipping korra to watch gravity falls starting august 1st. everyone should watch that instead in protest! good plan

Screw Nickelodeon. Their first good show in years that isn't TMNT and they leak it, rush it, and now try to cancel it?

Seriously everyone. Calm down.

Or...or...OR they could just be changing it to once a week airings, meaning they believe the ratings are strong. Pulling just one episode this week and then shifting the final four episodes down however many number of weeks because that's how scheduling works. Also, I don't see any links to any sources in this. So why should I believe that Nick is abandoning it? No reason to start panicking guys.

My initial reaction was positive aswell. I don't know why some people are angry or freaking out at the moment. Last week we got the first non-leaked episode and changing the schedule up to one episode a week seems the way to go for me (we only have 6 more episodes!).
Nick may have fucked up before but this is a good thing I feel as long as they didn't order this with some kind of ill intent.

Enjoy your shit, Nick, while Hulu, Amazon, or whatever gets Korra.

Judging from that post and others on Facebook, the creators clearly are not happy with what's happening.

I fear for Book 4. It's already half way through production, but considering the way Korra has been treated, it may have practically no budget.
