Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

Wingo should've been female, and Wingo shouldn't have that stereotype, woefully inaccurate depiction of crows lovez shiny things and they're evil.

I thought Wingo was a girl. And I thought she was a Magpie.

No, Wingo is male and Wingo might be a magpie, a crow, a blackbird, a starling, a black jay, but it's definitely a corvid, and people are still fixated on this myth that corvids love shiny things.

New headcanon. Wingo is female.

I'd prefer Wingo be female simply because it breaks the trend that female characters have to be royalty, wear a ribbon, be colored pink everywhere, have makeup and eyelashes, and all that other garbage.

Wouldn't have guessed, GBAToad.

I like Toad. He's cute. He used to be the guy I used first in Mario Kart and Mario Party because I was too nervous to use Mario. He's also Baby Luigi's favorite "main" Mario character.

I thought Wingo was female because of the eyelashes.

Toad's awesome

I also firmly think Wingo is female.

Well, they're kind of like eyelashes, but I see them more like embellishment. I do think Wingo is better without those, though.

I'm going to call Wingo a "she" because we need more female characters that aren't wearing a dress, is royalty, or has pink.

Yeah Wingo is a guy because brainfart

This magical bird has stuck his beak in where it doesn't belong—between Captain Toad and the Power Star!

In the "Time for Adventure" .pdf, we have this
...WINGO. He’s the scariest giant bird of them all.

I don't know. I just looked at Wingo, and he looks more like an effeminate male.
How does a bird look like an "effeminate male"? Aside from the red "eyelashes", Wingo could've been easily male or female. Wingo isn't exactly an anthropomorphic bird, so you can't judge the femininity or masculinity.

There's no shrooms Wingo. Just, turnips.

Does this means Wario wasted all his muscles to climb in Wingo's tower for nothing? He wanted Wingo's eggs so he can eat omelets but now he can't because that bird was always a he.

Southern Ground Hornbill

That bird can probably beat Wingo in a fight

But Wingo can summon lightning!

Southern Ground Hornbill
Hornbill, eh? Not much of a horn bill like other hornbills. Of well, at least the bird is probably cute.

And so? Southern Ground Hornbills can cleave snakes in half with their huge. That's bad-ass. A lot of you wouldn't even dare approach a snake.

Wingo can blow it away

Yeah, right. Can't handle a swarm of Southern Ground Hornbills. They should be giant too, as well.
