nobody's hating on n64 rainbow road tho

Exactly this. Well, I do think that Double Dash's and Mario Kart Wii's are better, but they definitely don't suck like the SNES one.

honestly i hate all of them

just like all bowser castle tracks

Re: Mario Kart 8

Oh yeah Dragon Driftway is my favorite DLC track. No contest. The music is absolutely terrific

Excitebike Arena is my least favorite DLC track....this is coming from a babyweight user here

now i'm going to sleep

Re: Mario Kart 8

Dlc is out and I'm downloading.

Or at least it's updating.

EDIT: Yeah now it's downloading.

Re: Mario Kart 8

DLC is awesome! I think Wario's Gold Mine is my favorite.

Ice Ice Outpost is kinda... underwhelming. I found it a bit boring.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I've played all tracks now

I'm really disappointed by Rainbow Road because it's a lot easier than in 7 for some reason although the track design has simply been copied.

Yeah it looks pretty cool, still I thought they could've done more with this like they did with N64 Rainbow Road.

Ice Ice Outpost was boring and the traction sucks.

Wario's Goldmine and Yoshi Circuit were pretty solid remakes, nothing wrong here.

Excitebike Arena and Hyrule Circuit are really good because of the love for detail, the music and the variable track design in the Excitebike Arena.

That chinese circuit thing is astounding, it's like one of the only tracks to really show what they can do with antigravity

+it has the dragon from SMG2 so thats cool too

and finally,

Mute City

Holy shit I want a new fzero game now.

Easily best track ever that thing is so much fun to drive through and the music is beyond awesome

Ranking:
1. Mute City
2. Dragon Driftway
3. Hyrule Circuit
4. Excitebike Arena
5. Wario's Gold Mine Wii
6. Yoshi Circuit GCN
7. Rainbow Road SNES 3DS
8. Ice Ice Outpost

Re: Mario Kart 8

Also I really don't like the SNES Rainbow Road remix either :/

The one in 7 was better because it was more true to the original

Re: Mario Kart 8

Downloading now, does it give you more stickers to unlock? I don't really want to bother getting them.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Okay, played them all. Thoughts:

Yoshi Circuit is still good. excite bike is as I expected it to be; decent music and overall very plain/dull. Dragon drift way is cool, a bit underwhelming though. Mute city, the track is fun with lots of tight turns but the music is the best part about it. Wario's gold mine is still solid with good music. I never liked snes rainbow road and I don't feel any difference from the 7 version, other than it being hd and shiny. Ice ice outpost gets points for having a cool off-road section that's hidden away around the middle. Hyrule circuit is okay, the music is the best part again.

Stages are fine, same level of quality as the rest in the game.

1. Mute City
2. Wario's Gold Mine
3. Yoshi Circuit
4. Ice Ice Outpost
5. Hyrule Field
6. Dragon Driftway
7. Excite bike Arena
8. Rainbow Road

+Music is good as always
+Zelda kite is nice
+++I unlocked the Yoshi bike while playing fuck yeah
-reminded me why I hate items
-triforce wheels are bad with my combo
-mixed feelings about the stages

Don't you mean the lack of music?

It's called Mute City for a reason. :dk:

No it has music, it's called mute city because that's a name.

Re: Mario Kart 8

The Blue Falcon is a viable vehicule with unique stats, I am using it.
Concerning the course, SNES Raibow Road and Mute City are the best, Ice Ice Outpost is nice, the others are not very impressive for me.
