So the most recent Pikachu knock-off's in the game. I like how Sakurai references the previous Miiverse post by saying Dedenne's "hard at work too". Other then that, not much to say.

I always thought Pikachu looked more like a rabbit instead of a mouse.

By the way, the reason Dedenne was probably chosen was because Japan apparently likes cute Pokemon more than the badass ones. Which is why Jigglypuff was a veteran and will most likely not get cut unfortunately.

Yeah it technially varies canonically. But it makes it easier just to say she. The trophy descriptions say it instead of he and she. And for all we know the Smash in Jigglypuff could be a male that likes to wear bows and other feminine accessories. But I don't know, it's just easier to picture Jiggz as a female.

If anyone wants to picture Jigglypuff as a crossdressing male Jigglypuff. That's fine too though. xD

No. 8 character cuts is too many. I'd say 3-4 cuts is the maximum. I don't see there being as many cuts as there were from Melee to Brawl this time. (Which was 5)

There's a rumor circulatiing regarding the veterans

Spoiler: List of what the Rumor says

All characters except Snake and ROB are returning
Pokemon Trainer may have different mons
Mewtwo will return
Yoshi or Wario will be revealed next
Mr. Game and Watch will be revealed along with a G&W collection
A new version NES Remix (not sure if 2) will be when Ice Climbers return
Meta Knight will come when Triple Deluxe is launched in countries outside of Japan in May
Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Ness and Wolf will be revealed after launch.

I don't know too much about the Trainer having different Pokemons. Though I suppose Snake and ROB being the cuts might be somewhat believable. I don't like any sort of cuts from Brawl's roster. But those two I admit do have some reason to possibly be cut. Like it seems ROB was only placed because of an important role was given to the character in the Story Mode. And of course Snake could of not been able to reimburse with Konami.

Since when is Jigglypuff gender flexible? The only Pokemon that's gender flexible is Azurill.

It's because Azurill's gender ratio is different from marill's, so an azurill's gender may change when it evolves.
