post any random Mario thought on your mind

I think Goombas would work really well in a Mario Strikers game.

Why aren't they playable yet? They're perfect for one.

Hey, at least they'll be playable in Sports Superstars soccer

Remember that she's also a heavyweight in the Mario Kart series.

That probably has more to do with her being tall. However, I find that Rosalina and Waluigi don't exactly fit the heavyweight criteria, because heavy characters are often known to be bulky or fat.

Rosalina and Waluigi would probably be better placed as Cruiser weight class characters; Cruiser would basically be in between the medium and heavy classes, which consists of characters who are too tall to be medium, and too thin to be heavy.

I wonder what it would be like if Nintendo made an official "Kaizo" Mario game. Insane difficulty, lots of midair shell jumps and the like. Taking advantage of things like invincibility frames and even placing death traps after the goal so hitting a P switch is required or something. It wouldn't be aimed at casual players and it wouldn't take the place of games that are. And I probably wouldn't be able to beat world 1-1. But I think it would still be neat to see them try.

If they did that, then I think they would be total morons for sinking in effort for a shitty game like that.

its naturally not very appealing.

its one of those ideas that sound good on paper but when done its just frustrating and avoidable.

Lost levels.

There actually are people who enjoy that type of level design. Some players probably feel like it's too easy otherwise, why should they have to rely on romhacks and Super Mario Maker for that?

Last I checked there were no required shell jumps or other kaizo-tricks in that game. The most it had was hidden blocks in questionable places.

because it's not the overall desire of the main games, and the expectation is exactly that of rom hacks and whatnot.

There's a reason those type of levels are stuck to just romhacks and custom levels. Because they're not professional. And it should be stuck like that way. If you're trying to sell a game that's nearly unbeatable to an audience accustomed to people enjoying regular Mario games, it's not going to do well. It's not a good business move, nor is it a good product for the audience that enjoys Mario. The audience that enjoys these levels are far too niche for a game like that to even do well.

No, it just has a whole bunch of other BS traps. Like warps that take you backwards, those ridiculous spring jumps and poison mushrooms.

I pity the japanese kid whose first Mario game was that game.

I actually didn't know about the backwards warps. I've never played it, but I've watched playthroughs, probably why I didn't know about those. The spring jumps were pretty BS but poison mushrooms couldn't have been that bad because they were in many games after that.

In that game due to it's extreme difficulty they were just extra shit on a shit sandwhich and there would be no way to know about em till after you had hit and released em at least once.

Because he's bitter about years of being expendable

Shows you how likable Yoshi is

"Imagine what they could have done with that amazing yarn art style if they put like a character worth a fuck and game mechanics that were good in it."

"The only valuable thing Yoshi can do, you can ride on Yoshi and you fucking jump off and he falls into a fucking pit and you don't give a shit because there are more eggs with more fucking Yoshis. Yoshis are expendable, they're not the stars of fucking games, okay?"

I love this guy already.

What's with this trend of property getting destroyed by eggs in Yoshi commercials?
Breaking news: Massive amount of property destroyed by Yoshi eggs, with 30 killed already. Prepare for this apocalyptic massacre as soon as you can.

I hunger for Yoshi balut right about now.
